Dr. Paul Sasaura
As a competitive triathlete and cyclist for more than 20 years, my body and joints have experienced their share of aches and pains. Many doctors through the years have told me to back off the training and hinted that my best days were behind me. That's not the message you will get from Summit Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Paul Sasaura and the outstanding orthopedic specialists at Summit strive to ensure their patients' best days are ahead of them – not behind them! They understand the needs - and mindset - of those of us who don't ever want to stop doing the activities we love the most. Their comprehensive approach and “Ritz-Carlton” level service is why they are the Gold Standard in Northern California and the only place I trust with my orthopedic care needs.

Dr. Paul Sasaura
If you want the very best in care, the doctors and staff of Summit Orthopedic Specialists are the ones to see. Dr. Paul Sasaura is the most caring, professional doctor I have ever encountered in my 60-plus years. He is truly a miracle worker. I have had several difficult surgeries in the past two years. I was referred to Dr. Sasaura by my local orthopedic surgeon who said he was outstanding, and he did not exaggerate. It is due to his care that I am walking and living a “normal” life today.
When you make an appointment, the staff is friendly and efficient. When you arrive, you are greeted, checked in and called in to see your doctor right on time!! Amazing!

Dr. Hunter Greene
I want to thank you and the Summit Orthopedic Specialists team for getting me back to new again after a left tibia stress fracture.
It's been almost a month and I am doing great! The swelling is almost gone! In 2004, I had a similar injury and it took much longer to get back on my feet and start therapy. I was in much more pain after the first stress fracture surgery and it's not that bad this time around.
Thank you.

Dr. Paul Sasaura
Dr. Sasaura was energetic and enthusiastic about my care and treatment. As scary as it is to have a shoulder opened up, he put me at ease and I trusted him completely. We explored all of my treatment options prior to my decision to have surgery, and I couldn’t be happier that I did. He did a great job and I am thankful to him and his staff for their dedication to my healing!

My heart soars because of the capable hands of Dr. Greene. After many surgeries, each getting me closer to a full recovery, I needed one more. Dr. Greene believed in me. He listened to my desire to once again participate in my passion for horseback riding. A relatively new procedure could possibly take me out of the bleachers and put me back in the saddle. It meant so much to be more than just “functional.” I wanted to be fully recovered. Because of Dr. Greene’s special training, we were able to give it a try. It worked!
I am so thankful to Dr. Greene and all those who so skillfully brought me back. Through it all, the medical team was courteous and professional. Dr. Greene answered every one of my questions, and thoroughly explained the procedure as well as the recovery.
I would, without hesitation, recommend Dr. Greene to my family and friends.

I have had five separate surgeries performed by Dr. Paul Sasaura through Summit Orthopedic Specialists. My first surgery was because I knew I had a problem since 1997; however, I had a different insurance company and was diagnosed with tendonitis. I finally got a new insurance company, saw Dr. Sasaura and he had a feeling what the issue was. He ordered a special X-ray which showed the problem. He then explained the entire issue to me in a way I could understand. He performed the surgery and 1 ½ years later I had full range of motion and strength back again. This is extremely important as I love to play softball and it was my throwing arm. I can now throw the ball and get a double again! Thank you Dr. Sasaura!
Each experience has been extremely professional and personal. Dr. Sasaura took time with me to answer ALL my questions, EACH time! His assistant and the staff were very personal and understanding of my concerns or questions. They answered my concerns/questions within a professional and timely manner making sure I understood the answer.

Dr. Hunter Greene,
March 2007, pain begins. April, May, June, pain worsens. Difficulty walking, pain sitting, standing. Nausea from pain medication, difficulty maintaining blood sugar. Miserable, depressed. July, enter Dr. Greene. 3 weeks, 100 percocet and 3 incisions later...I am recovering from right hip osteoplasty due to impingement syndrome. I immediately feel relief, though the surgery does take months to feel fully recovered. My hip feels free. I return to work 7 weeks later, minimal pain and no pain medication. Woo hoo!
May 2008, feeling great! Working out, down 20 pounds, well controlled blood sugar...no pain. August 17th, one step, two step, hip pain left side. I knew immediately that my frequent flier miles with Dr. Greene were about to be redeemed. I would have been devastated if I hadn't had such a great experience the first time with Dr. Greene. Dr. Greene does not seem surprised when I call him and tell him the news. He says no worries, he has gotten even better. I will only have 2 incisions. 3 weeks, 10 percocets, insurance call, removal of my boss from the floor and 2 incisions later....I am recovering from left hip osteoplasty due to impingement syndrome. I can tell immediately that Dr. Green has done his job. My recovery is much faster, I am back to work in 6 weeks and feel better than I can ever remember.
I am now 35 pounds lighter, a testament to my increase in activity. I am hiking, jet skiing, playing volleyball, walking, lifting weights and soon to be snow skiing. My friends, family and coworkers are incredulous at my recovery and constantly remind me of how fortunate I am to have met and been treated by Dr. Greene. Thank you for all you have dedicated to improving my life. I am ever grateful.
Sincerely,
K.M.
